Engulf (07/20/06)
The shadows engulf the back of my brain.
Assuring me that I’m insane.
As the days pass, the shadows will grow:
Slow then fast, fast then slow.
Steady, but surely, they’ll leave their mark.
And leave me alone: bereft in the dark.
Years have gone by, and darkened am I:
My body, my soul, my tears, my mind.
And as I sit in my corner,
Thinking of darkness as I am a mourner.
For I have gone and lost my mind:
I am unloving, I am unkind.
The shadows will now completely take over.
Won’t see you again: goodbye my friend.
But we will meet up, I’m sure we will.
So I will just wait here, darkened and still.

The Soul
The Soul (11/01/06)
The soul leaves the corpse
After it dies,
But where does it go?
Where does it fly?
To a far off land
Of time and space.
So you can start over.
Your mind: erased.
Or maybe it walks;
Just wanders around;
Roaming and roaming:
No care and no sound.
Or maybe it could
Just disappear;
With nothing to worry,
Nothing to fear.
Possibly it stays
Alone in your mind;
To give itself a rest;
So it can unwind.
Or maybe it does: all of those things
Cause the soul has a lot of time.
But the body just stays alone in the ground,
Cause it’s reached the end of its line.
The soul leaves the corpse
After it dies,
But where does it go?
Where does it fly?
To a far off land
Of time and space.
So you can start over.
Your mind: erased.
Or maybe it walks;
Just wanders around;
Roaming and roaming:
No care and no sound.
Or maybe it could
Just disappear;
With nothing to worry,
Nothing to fear.
Possibly it stays
Alone in your mind;
To give itself a rest;
So it can unwind.
Or maybe it does: all of those things
Cause the soul has a lot of time.
But the body just stays alone in the ground,
Cause it’s reached the end of its line.
In (a) Sane State
In A Sane State (8/18/06)
In a place, where everyone’s gray,
Everyone’s crazy, what do you say?
“We all take drugs, to try and stay calm,
But we’re insane, and everything’s wrong.
We want to be sane, insanity’s loud.
In all situations, we will flip out.
Early morning: we will wake up.
Grab two small pills, and grab a cup.
Fill it up, from the sink,
Put the drugs in our mouth, and swallow the drink.”

Song For A Bluebird
Song For A Bluebird (8/19/06)
Soft white throat
Nesty lair.
Singing songs
Soft and fair.
Feathers: blue
On its back.
Swooping down
For a snack.
Graceful wings.
Majestic claws.
All the beauty
With no flaws.
Sings a song
For us all.
A beautiful voice
With its call.
Pointy beak.
Marble eyes.
Bright blue tail
As it soars the skies.
Hops away
With all its grace;
As it’s on its way
To another place.
Soft white throat
Nesty lair.
Singing songs
Soft and fair.
Feathers: blue
On its back.
Swooping down
For a snack.
Graceful wings.
Majestic claws.
All the beauty
With no flaws.
Sings a song
For us all.
A beautiful voice
With its call.
Pointy beak.
Marble eyes.
Bright blue tail
As it soars the skies.
Hops away
With all its grace;
As it’s on its way
To another place.

About
This is where I'll post all my poems, but not necessarily all of them. Only the good ones that I like. Most of them are crappy and won't be put up, so you'll just have to be patient. But have no fear: Paco the Poemist will be there in a little bit, after taking a pit stop at McD's.
